Gio has watched enough Jets and Vikings football this season to know that his Minnesota squad is in trouble on Sunday.
“I’ve watched a lot of Jets football this year, all of it. I’ve watched a lot of Vikings football this year. I know what these two teams are all about,” Gio said. “If things go the way they have gone for both of these teams in recent memory, especially with the passing game and Mike White, then I believe the Jets win this game. This is not a good matchup for the Vikings.”
Gio believes the Cowboys defense showed what a strong defensive performance can do to Minnesota’s offense, and Gang Green has one of the top defenses in football this season. Meanwhile, the Vikings defense has been susceptible to big plays through the air, and now that the Jets appear to have competent quarterback play in Mike White, watch out for an upset.
“Any team that’s got a defense like the Jets have, pressure on the quarterback, a great cornerback in Sauce Gardner who could potentially give Justin Jefferson problems, and the fact that Mike White can throw the ball down the field and find those open receivers,” Gio said.
“Every single week there are open wide receivers running all over the place in the Vikings defense. I think Mike White is going to have another big week and the Jets win.”
