Gio sounds off on 'dead' Jets: 'Aaron Rodgers seems like he's 100 years old'
The Jets looked on their way to a rebound victory after taking a halftime lead into the locker room, only to watch the Russell Wilson and the Steelers rattle off 24 straight points to win in a rout, dropping Gang Green to 0-5.
The addition of Davante Adams wasn’t the trick the Jets needed, as the star wideout was limited to three catches for 30 yards, while Aaron Rodgers threw two interceptions and just one touchdown in the losing effort.
Gio sounded off on the state of the Jets after another loss, as continued attempts to fix what was supposed to be an all-in team only lead to further failures.
“The whole thing stinks right now,” Gio said. “The team seems dead. Aaron Rodgers seems like he’s 100 years old.
“I just don’t believe the Jets are any good. You can keep bringing in all these guys…but right now, they’re worse than last year’s team.”
Boomer is still holding out hope that the Jets can make a season out of their most anticipated campaign in years, but Gio doesn’t see any signs of a turnaround.
“Are they any good? Are they all of a sudden gonna wake up and be good?” Gio said. “I can’t put my faith in this franchise and this team, because right now, they just feel horrible.”
