Mekhi Becton posted on X (formerly known as Twitter), “Why he couldn’t mentor Malik?” in response to a video of Will Levis praising Ryan Tannehill “keeping things professional” and “helping me out how he can” before Levis got the start for the Titans last weekend.

Becton seemed to be publicly wondering why Tannehill didn’t show that same courtesy to fellow Tennessee quarterback Malik Willis, adding, “I asked a question he said last year ‘it ain’t my job to mentor him,’ now he’s all in on mentoring him…you tell me why.”

Cowboys star Micah Parsons joined in on the questioning as well, posting, “lol he told Malik Willis that’s not his job ! Mhmm lol just saying.”

Gio ripped both players on Friday morning, opining that the two made an insinuation that Tannehill treated Levis differently because of his skin color.

“There’s actually a video of Malik Willis saying when he was about to start one week, that Ryan Tannehill was a big help in getting him ready,” Gio said. “It’s beyond insulting. If this is what you guys think, then go out there and say it. Instead of dancing around it…just say it. That’s what you’re implying, and it’s ridiculous…you’re making a story out of nothing, out of out-of-context clips.

“Ryan Tannehill can sit there and get accused by multiple NFL starters in the league…and nobody has the guts to stand up for Ryan Tannehill? Where are the people going, ‘Micah, you’re out of your mind’? What a joke. Come on guys, it’s ridiculous.”

Tannehill did follow up on his draft comments shortly after, saying they were twisted out of proportion, and Gio believes those parts of the narrative are being completely ignored.

Boomer agreed, and says it’s “beyond insulting” to make such an insinuation of Tannehill.

“Those guys, they should send an apology to Ryan Tannehill,” Boomer said. “Not only is he helping both guys, because that’s what a good teammate does, he’s also been rehabbing from injuries the last two years…it’s a leap beyond, and it’s actually insulting.

“How about Malik Willis’ own words?”
