After watching the botched Hail Mary attempt lead to a blowout loss for the Jets on Sunday, Gio says it has reached a point where fans simply have to laugh at the team’s failures this season.
“That's just one of those, you have to laugh…you've gotta laugh at that play,” Gio said. “You have to because if you don't, you're gonna lose your mind, you're gonna go nuts and it was gonna ruin the rest of your weekend just like they've ruined your entire football season.”
What may not make Jets fans want to laugh is the reality that, no matter how bad things get the rest of the way, the Jets are likely going to run it back again next season, determined to see how things turn out with Aaron Rodgers under center.
“They are now in this weird state where nothing is working, they are in this terrible losing streak, their offense is one of the worst in football, and they’re gonna bring everybody back and do it again next year because this was all predicated on one guy,” Gio said.
“That one guy is gonna want the situation he signed up for. That means Allen Lazard is gonna be here. That means Randall Cobb is gonna be here. That’s his best friend.”
