The unceremonious Haason Reddick era with the Jets is reportedly over.
According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, Reddick has agreed to a one-year deal with the Buccaneers, ending his one-year tenure with Gang Green that included an extended holdout and just two starts in what was a disastrous trade by the previous regime.
Per Schefter, the contract is for $14 million, with $12 million guaranteed.
Reddick, a two-time Pro Bowler with the Eagles, was acquired by Joe Douglas and company for a 2026 third-round pick after New York did not retain Bryce Huff. Reddick was expected to be a pillar in a scary Jets defensive group, but instead, he sat out of training camp as he awaited a new contract, and wound up not playing until Week 8. He finished the year with one sack and nine solo tackles in 10 games.
The New Jersey native is the latest misstep by the Jets to depart, as the new regime of Aaron Glenn and Darren Mougey have also moved on from Aaron Rodgers and Davante Adams.
