Jerry: Does Garrett Wilson really have a legit gripe with Jets targets?

Garrett Wilson expressed frustration with his workload after Sunday’s Jets loss, as his postgame comments sparked speculation as to whether the young wide receiver will ask out of New York.

For Jerry Recco, he doesn’t understand Wilson’s frustration, or at least surprise, in seeing his targets go down after the Jets brought in Davante Adams, a star wideout who just happens to be Aaron Rodgers’ favorite target across his decorated career.

“Garrett Wilson has the fourth-most targets in the NFL this season,” Jerry said. “I know it’s down since Davante Adams got here, but we knew that. When they brought in Davante Adams, how would targets for everybody else not go down?

“You just brought in one of the better receivers we’ve seen in the last 10-11 years. Of course it’s gonna change, because now it’s not just you. There’s another guy here who has a relationship with the quarterback. Of course it’s gonna change.”
