The Jets still don’t have a decision from Aaron Rodgers regarding his NFL future, but Gang Green seems to be pulling out all the stops to bring the future Hall of Famer to New York.

According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, Gang Green is “actively working” to sign Allen Lazard, a free agent wide receiver who played alongside Rodgers in Green Bay from 2018 through last season.

The move to add Lazard certainly seems like a sign that the Jets believe Rodgers is coming, or is at least another attempt to sway Rodgers’ decision, which, according to reports Tuesday morning, had not been made yet.

Lazard, 27, had the best season of his career in 2022 alongside Rodgers, posting a career-high 788 receiving yards while hauling in six touchdown catches. His 100 targets and 60 receptions were each career highs as well.

Lazard joins a receiving core highlighted by Offensive Rookie of the Year Garrett Wilson.
