Former Jets running back Le’Veon Bell won’t be seen in the backfield this season, instead saying he will focus on boxing, where he will face fellow former running back Adrian Peterson on July 30.

Gio says Bell will catch a worse beating in the ring than any hit he took in shoulder pads.

“Adrian Peterson, by the way, is gonna knock him out,” Gio said. He’s rock solid.

“Le’Veon Bell is a total wuss…he’s getting in the ring because he’s gonna get paid and can’t get paid anywhere else. He sat out, was a total wuss….and Adrian Peterson’s got zero wuss tendencies…when compared to Adrian Peterson, wuss.”

Bell seemed to be on track to be one of the brightest backs in the NFL before holding out for a new deal in 2018, which led to him signing a deal with the Jets, but that tenure didn’t pan out after feuding with Adam Gase, and since then, has had short and uneventful stints with three different teams.

Gio says Bell’s career went down quickly after that holdout, and his boxing career will likely be even worse.

“Want to talk about a guy who really blew it is him,” Gio said. “Never got anything back on track after holding out that year.”
