Mike White has 300 yards, 3 TD…in three quarters

Elijah Moore has been upset with his role in the Jets offense for weeks now, and Garrett Wilson seemed to be the leading voice last week calling out that unit for its failures in New England.

Probably going to be a lot different this Sunday, and the game isn’t even over yet.

Over three quarters, Mike White had thrown for 302 yards and three touchdowns…two to Wilson and the third to Moore:

Through that third touchdown drive, Wilson had four catches for 86 yards and the two scores, while Moore had two catches for 64 yards and the TD. Those two led the way in terms of yardage by a lot – Tyler Conklin had 50, with 29 of them coming on one catch on the Jets’ fourth touchdown drive – and had almost one-third of White’s 20 completions.

And, following the fourth touchdown drive, which ended with a 32-yard Ty Johnson TD run with 2:28 to go, a raucous chant of “Mike White! Mike White” erupted at MetLife Stadium, as his passer rating reached as high as 155.0, just 3.3 points shy of perfect.

Not bad for an offense with a new signal-caller playing in the rain!
