Jets place Keelan Cole on COVID reserve list, activate Denzel Mims

The Jets have swapped one wide receiver off the COVID-19 list for a different one.

The team activated Denzel Mims from the COVID list on Wednesday morning, but later in the day, head coach Robert Saleh announced that Keelan Cole has tested positive for COVID and will miss the Jets’ game this weekend against the Eagles.

Corey Davis missed Wednesday’s practice due to the groin issue that kept him out last week, so the Jets look like they will still be two receivers down against the Birds on Sunday at MetLife Stadium.

Mims has missed the last three games while on the COVID list, and in six games this year he has just seven catches for 129 yard. The Jets’ second-round pick in 2020 also played just nine games last year, making 23 grabs for 35 yards.

Cole, who joined the Jets this season after spending four years in Jacksonville, has 19 catches for 299 yards in 10 games this year.
