The Athletic released a detailed report of the Jets’ dysfunction and struggles this season, including Nathaniel Hackett not adjusting to life without Aaron Rodgers, and a “paranoid” Robert Saleh threatening to take his coaches’ cellphones to find out who leaked the story of Zach Wilson being reluctant to take back the starting quarterback role.
Gio was hardly surprised, given his preexisting thoughts about the Jets head coach.
“It’s nothing that is surprising to me if you are someone who followed this team and understands that their head coach is not a smart person,” Gio said.
“Unless there is a Rob Saleh defender who thinks he’s just caught bad luck, this will tell you that’s not the case. But I’m not one of those people.
I think Robert Saleh has been a horrendous head coach, is not a leader, and he stinks.”
