The Jets’ replacement for Mekhi Becton has now been lost for Sunday’s series opener.
Robert Saleh told reporters on Friday that Duane Brown will miss Gang Green’s Week 1 matchup with the Ravens, delaying his Jets debut at least a week. Saleh also did not rule out Brown going on IR, which would extend his absence due to a shoulder injury.
The Jets, who are already without their starting quarterback in Zach Wilson for the next three weeks, will now move George Fant back to left tackle, and Max Mitchell will start at right tackle.
“He’s gonna be out this week,” Saleh said. “We’re still gathering information.”
