A skirmish occurred on the field after Mac Jones tried a QB sneak for a first down on Sunday afternoon, with C.J. Mosley and Jones continuing after the play was blown dead due to forward progress, leading to Mosley throwing Jones to the ground, and a scrum ensuing around them.

After Jones got up from the turf, he and Sauce Gardner appeared to get into it, and Gardner told reporters afterward that it was due to the Patriots quarterback hitting him in his “private parts.”

“That’s probably the first time that ever happened to me,” Gardner said. “He got tackled, he reached his hand up to try and get me to help him up and I just moved his hand out of the way. When he got up, he came up to me like ‘Good job,’ and while he’s saying that, he hit me in my private parts.

“I didn’t react how I wanted to, but that was the reaction that came. I wasn’t expecting that. First time for everything I guess.”

Jones appears to get up and brush past Gardner, who then pushes him down to the ground. An official is standing right next to Gardner, and it looks like Gardner says something to him. Gardner didn’t express much frustration after the game, displaying more disbelief that Jones would have done that.

“My stomach hurts a little bit,” Gardner said. “I don’t even know what to say. I do gotta ice up. He's trying to stop me from having kids in the future. He trippin’.”
