While he was watching the Steelers lose to another lowly team on Thursday night, Evan couldn’t help but feel he was seeing a window of opportunity for the Jets.

The opportunity? Landing a proven, elite head coach to take Robert Saleh’s place next season.

“Those losers in Pittsburgh are done with Mike Tomlin. They’re finished with him,” Evan said. “They could move on from Mike Tomlin. And if they do, if the Steelers listen to their fans, I wonder. Who do you think likes Mike Tomlin?”

The answer? Aaron Rodgers.

“He loves Mike Tomlin,” Evan said. “And guess who else likes Mike Tomlin? Me.”

Tomlin has one year left on his deal, and despite Pittsburgh’s struggles, Tiki doesn’t see them wanting to make a head coaching change, considering Tomlin never having a losing season and ownership rarely changing head coaches. Evan believes they could be enticed, and he would even offer up Gang Green’s first-round pick for Tomlin’s services.

“The New York Jets would be asinine not to make that phone call,” Evan said. “If they want my top pick, I’m actually doing it.”
