UPDATE: Add another former Rodgers teammate to the Jets' potential wish list, as Schefter reports that free agent tight end Marcedes Lewis, who was Rodgers' teammate for the past five years, will draw interest from the Jets and Raiders.
The Jets are reportedly working on a deal for Aaron Rodgers' longtime receiver Allen Lazard, but they are not stopping there.
According to ESPN NFL insider Adam Schefter, Gang Green is also expected to pursue veteran wideout Randall Cobb, another longtime receiver of Rodgers, who the Jets continue to wait and see whether the future Hall of Famer will request a trade to New York, or retire.
Cobb, who will be 33 by next season, recently told reporters that he intends to play a 13th NFL season in 2023, and if the Jets land Rodgers, it seems like Cobb would be joining him in New York.
Cobb would likely be a depth receiver with the Jets, as he has made just eight starts in the past three seasons. Last year, in his second year of his second stint with the Packers, Cobb logged 417 receiving yards with one touchdown in 13 games.
