The Jets, shortly after signing Mecole Hardman to a one-year deal, have reportedly dealt Elijah Moore to the Browns.
According to ESPN NFL insider Adam Schefter, Gang Green has dealt Moore to Cleveland, along with a third-round pick, in exchange for the Browns' second-round pick for the upcoming draft. That gives the Jets two second-round picks this year, which could be used in a potential trade for Aaron Rodgers.
Moore, a former second-round pick, never panned out for New York, showing some promise with 43 catches on 77 targets for 538 yards and five touchdowns during his rookie season, but his sophomore campaign saw him grab 37 catches for 446 yards and one score across 16 games, with a trade request sprinkled in between.
Moore became expendable with the acquisitions of Hardman and Allen Lazard, but former teammate Garrett Wilson didn't seem too thrilled with the move, as he made known on Twitter after it was reported.
