The New York Jets’ Twitter account was fairly light-hearted throughout the team’s 20-17 win over Buffalo on Sunday – but they were straight up SAVAGE after the game.
Well, it actually started during the game, when the team’s account posted one of their usual injury updates…for the stadium skycam, which was taken out of commission after a cable snapped and caused a delay in the third quarter:
And afterwards, well, first they taunted the oddsmakers, many of whom had 5.5 as the O/U total for Jets wins, a bet that cashed out for everyone holding the over by late Sunday afternoon:
They also had some fun with pundits who said they’d already be out of it by now:
Oh, and the NFL.com “experts” too:
Finally, the Jets trolled the Bills a little bit, taking a page from the video renderings of their new stadium – which displayed a scoreboard showing a 24-3 Bills lead over the Jets – and correcting it to Sunday’s final score:
As Kid Rock said in his song “Cocky” many years ago (and many years after the Bills last made the Super Bowl), “it ain’t bragging (expletive) if you back it up.” The Jets are right now, as they’re 6-3 and just one-half game behind the now 6-2 Bills for first place in the AFC East.
