Garrett Wilson made a trip up to New York back in March, and now, he’ll be heading back to the Empire State for a bit longer of a stay.
The Ohio State wide receiver was the Jets’ 10th pick of the 2022 NFL Draft, giving Gang Green its newest weapon on the offensive end.

“It’s a feeling of insane excitement,” Wilson said. “I’m really excited. I went up to New York about a month and a half ago for the first time ever, and here I am about to set some roots there. I’m really excited to be a part of the Jets.”
Being a part of the Jets will mean meshing with Zach Wilson, the team’s sophomore quarterback and hopeful face of the future for an organization looking for some stability at quarterback. Garrett has seen Zach in action, though not up close, but it was enough to know that he likes what he sees.
“I think he's got a lot of arm talent,” Garrett said. “I remember watching his Pro Day last year, and it was a really good Pro Day. I feel like he approaches the game the right way and I'm excited to get up there and start getting some reps with Zach.”
The two Wilsons will look to take New York’s offense to the next level next season, and for Garrett, that means doing whatever is asked of him in his rookie campaign.
“I feel just as comfortable inside or out,” Garrett said of his preference of where he lines up on the line of scrimmage. “I like being wherever the offense calls for.”
