New York football fans are already looking forward to Week 8, when the Jets and Giants will face off in a rematch of a testy preseason finale that saw Aaron Rodgers and Jihad Ward getting into it on the field.
For Joe B, a win for Gang Green isn’t enough. He wants to see a full, proper beatdown.
“Let’s be honest, Giants fans look at us like we’re the you-know-what on the ground,” Joe said. “Let’s face it, we play in their stadium, I don’t care how green you make it…that makes us a big time, second-class citizen.
“When we have the kind of team we got, we better go out there and beat them…I want blood.”
Joe has had enough with the Giants running the city, and the Jets failed to capitalize in recent years when Big Blue was laboring through a brutal stretch of losing. Week 8 will be a perfect opportunity to begin the power shift in the Big Apple and erase the pain of previous losses.
“One of the top 10 losses in the history of the franchise is the Christmas Day disaster, when Victor Cruz is running up the sideline…and they go to the Super Bowl and we go down the crapper…and we’ve never recovered,” Joe said.
“I want to beat the crap out of the Giants. I want to destroy them.”
