Keith has maintained for the entire season that Zach Wilson doesn’t have the capability to be an NFL quarterback, but when it comes to reports of Wilson being reluctant to take back the starting quarterback job, Keith finds it hard to blame him.

“Have you ever been a disgruntled employee? When you talk to your boss, you push back. You say ‘No, this doesn’t sit right with me.’”
Citing the poor offensive line and lack of weapons around him, Keith understands why Wilson wouldn’t want to risk his health for a team that he likely won’t be a part of next season, and one that has proven itself to be “inept” since Wilson arrived, and long before that.
“Zach Wilson is allowed to push back. We’re not gonna bash this young man,” Keith said. “His team ranks 28th in rushing offense, his team has the leagues lowest rushing touchdowns…what are we doing here? The Jets have run out of so many options. The ineptitude is ridiculous. Now we’re putting this kid back out there?
“Nah, I’m backing Zach now. Push back on your employer. Push back on your organization that has been a loser since before you got there.”
