As the Zach Wilson era in New York seems to have reached an end, Keith says the former No. 2 overall pick could be on his way to becoming the biggest bust the league has ever seen.
“We honestly should not see Zach Wilson take another snap in a Jets uniform. Enough,” Keith said. “Cut this kid. Let this kid get away and potentially sign somewhere else.
“He may have to deal with the label of being the biggest bust in NFL history. I know Ryan Leaf is somewhere like ‘Nah, I played better than that. Don’t mention me.’”
There are other strong candidates outside of Wilson and Leaf, like JaMarcus Russell or Akili Smith, but Wilson, who has statistically been the worst quarterback in football since making his debut, may be the biggest draft bust of all when it’s all said and done.
