According to The Athletic, Robert Saleh threatened to take the cellphones away from coaches to find out who leaked the story of Zach Wilson’s reluctance to take back the starting job this season.
But Keith couldn’t stop laughing at the part of the report that revealed Saleh saving a photo of Rodgers on his own cellphone, and pointing to it to remind the organization what this season was supposed to be.
“I thought it was hilarious…Rob Saleh had a saved picture on his iPhone of Aaron Rodgers in a No. 8 New York Jets uniform carrying the American flag,” Keith said. “You know what I have? My son. I have a picture of my son.
Robert Saleh’s got like seven kids, and he has Aaron Rodgers on his iPhone!
“I’m sorry, I read that this morning like, this is a grown ass man.
Every time he looks at his iPhone, he’s thinking about the season ending. He’s thinking about that moment. ‘Oh man, that was rocking.’”
As for threatening to take phones away, Keith thought that was an ironic threat coming from someone who doesn’t seem to have control of the building at all.
“Who are you? You’re not the boss of anything over here,” Keith said. “You’re gonna take somebody’s cellphone? Man, it’s a mess over there.”
