Davante Adams is likely staying put in Las Vegas with the Raiders, and Keith isn’t the least bit surprised given the “mess” that surrounded the Jets last season.
“Why the hell would Davante Adams want to come to Florham park? He’s in Vegas,” Keith said. “He grew up a Raiders fan. That was his preferred destination. He doesn’t miss Aaron Rodgers that much.
“He’s not trying to join this dysfunctional mess that the Jets are.”
The Jets were tied to Adams as a potential trade suitor given his familiarity with Aaron Rodgers, but that seems to be out the window with the Raiders all but shutting down the idea of trading the stud wide receiver.
Meanwhile, the Jets will be running it back with mainly the same coaching staff, and will have to find upgrades at receiver elsewhere. Safe to say Keith isn’t very hopeful about it.
“This whole thing is gonna be an accident waiting to happen next year,” Keith said. “It just keeps getting piled on the Jets, and the Jets are the only one saying ‘This is fine, we’ll run it back. Status quo.’”
