Keith called out Woody Johnson last week after the Jets owner threw major shade at Zach Wilson with his “we didn’t have a backup quarterback” comments, and he doubled down on his criticism after the Jets owner decided to unveil the team’s new uniform plans just as Super Bowl XLVIII was ending.
“Just lay low. Do not attract any attention to yourself,” Keith said. “You went to the NFL Honors and chose to throw Zach Wilson under the bus. Not any of the coaches that you’re running it back with. Not any of the grown men in your building. You chose to throw the young guy you drafted No. 2 overall - that’s your mistake, you co-signed that - you throw that guy under the bus and say you didn’t have a backup quarterback. You also didn’t have an offensive coordinator, didn’t have a head coach, didn’t have an offensive line.”
The Jets announced that their legacy uniforms would become permanent, which Keith says no fan cares about as their watching a Super Bowl that many wondered if Gang Green would be a part of, only for the team to labor through another season of double digit losses.
“I don’t get what his infatuation is with the Jets uniforms. They’re never that dope,” Keith said. “Materialistic. You care about a diamond chain that says “Woody” across your neck, and what pants the team is wearing each week.
“It just makes the Jets more of a laughingstock.”
