New York Jets quarterback Mike White left Thursday night’s game against the Colts in the second quarter with an apparent right hand or arm injury, and is questionable to return.
White, making his second start and third appearance of the year, was hurt on a touchdown pass, getting his right arm and wrist hit as he was throwing a 19-yard TD to Elijah Moore with just over three minutes left in the first quarter.
He was seen getting evaluated on the sidelines, and then went into the blue medical tent after trying some throws.
When the Jets took possession again early in the second, White was replaced by Josh Johnson, who was elevated from the practice squad for the second game in a row. Johnson also saw action in Sunday’s win over Cincinnati, replacing White for part of a series in the third quarter after White was pushed head-first into one of his offensive linemen and had to go through concussion protocol.
The Jets did acquire Joe Flacco from Philadelphia last week after Zach Wilson was injured against New England, but Flacco was inactive Thursday for the second straight game.
