The Jets and Giants rivalry seemed to take on a new intensity during the preseason finale, when Aaron Rodgers and Jihad Ward got into it on the field after Ward took exception to Rodgers and his teammates laughing together after Bobby McCain was hit by a Randall Cobb blindsided block.
With the two teams set to face off again on Oct. 29, the Evan and Tiki crew wondered if the two teams don’t like each other, and all agree that the two fanbase a don’t like each other.
From a Giants fan perspective, Morash laid out why he can’t stand the Jets fanbase as a whole, especially as they prepare for their most hyped season in recent memory.
“The Jet fanbase, more than any other fanbase in this town, likes to play ‘Woe is me, all the bad stuff happens to us,’ and the moment something good happens, there’s a complete 180, and it becomes insufferable,” Morash said.
“The Jets are insufferable, and we hate their fans as a result.”
Jets fans aren’t wallowing in self pity these days after adding Rodgers and Dalvin Cook to a roster full of promising youth. But Morash is just waiting for the other shoe to drop.
“The moment you add Aaron Rodgers, or the year you get Brett Favre, it can’t go from ‘Can you believe all this bad stuff happens to us?’ to ‘Haha, you got Daniel Jones, now we’re going to the Super Bowl.’
“There’s this level that young Jet fans have where there is just so much arrogance. So don’t be mad when we hate you back.”
