Morgan Moses: Jets would 'run through a wall' for Robert Saleh

Robert Saleh has heard plenty of criticism in his three seasons as Jets head coach, but Morgan Moses told Evan and Tiki on Tuesday that the team is fully behind Saleh entering year four.

“First of all, it starts with the head coach. Coach S, guys will run through a wall for him,” Moses said.

“There's not many head coaches out here where guys can say like, ‘dude, I will die on the field for this dude,’ you know what I'm saying?”

Saleh has been questioned by many fans whether he is the right man for the job after another losing season that included more Zach Wilson drama and more questions about Saleh’s ability to control a locker room. But Moses says none of that is felt at Florham Park, and the belief in Saleh spreads to the rest of the roster.

“Then you got just the camaraderie of the whole team, like what Aaron [Rodgers] brings to the locker room with Sauce [Gardner] brings, to the locker room with Garrett [Wilson].

“Garrett doesn't talk a lot, but you see his play every day out here, man, like there's not a day that goes by that he doesn't have a 50-yard touchdown, you know, and just like the guys challenging each other every day and just like taking the coaching to the field, man.”

Belief is one thing, but Saleh and the Jets will have to prove it on the field that they are finally ready to win and end the team’s painfully long playoff drought. Moses is well aware of that, and says the team is ready to rally behind their head coach and get it done in 2024.

“It's a wonderful thing, man. This team is built for success, and we can sit here and play the paper champ all we want,” Moses said. “It's our job as veterans to get everybody on the same page and go out there and do it.”
