Same old Jets?
Gang Green decided to make a change at kicker for Sunday’s game, cutting Matt Ammendola and signing Alex Kessman off their practice squad due to Ammendola’s recent inaccuracy on field goal attempts.

Unfortunately, after Braxton Berrios’ long kickoff return started the Jets at the Eagles 21 and the team scored five plays into the game, Kessman lined up for his first PAT and…
Not a great start for Kessman, especially given the Jets’ start and the reason he was active. But, hey, at least the Jets got Zach Wilson’s first career first-half touchdown pass, and his first TD toss in two months, right?
Well, on the Jets' second drive, they got a TD run from Wilson, and even CBS' Andrew Catalon questioned whether or not the Jets should go for two, and when he asked analyst James Lofton if that would affect Kessman's confidence, Lofton's answer was "I want him to be confident on kickoffs."
Gang Green decided to kick, and surely, Kessman had shaken off the jitters, right?
Insert facepalm emoji here, as Joe Douglas is likely already back on the phone looking for what would be the Jets' third kicker of the season (and possibly fourth, if you count Sam Ficken, who was cut in training camp to give Ammendola the job).
