The Jets have already made a splash in signing Corey Davis, but they might not be finished upgrading the wide receiver position just yet.

New York may be in on one of the last impact wide receivers left on the market, reportedly in talks with JuJu Smith-Schuster and could see him as another offensive option, according to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport.

Receiver has been a glaring area of need for the Jets in recent years, and adding Smith-Schuster along with David would certainly be a major boost for whoever is under center for Gang Green next season.

Smith-Schuster remains on the board after completing his rookie contract with the Steelers, and with little movement in his free agent outlook, some have wondered if he has been asking for No. 1 receiver money in free agency. He broke out in 2018 as Pittsburgh’s MVP, earning a Pro Bowl selection with 1,426 receiving yards and seven touchdowns, but he took a step back the following year in his chance to be the top receiver with the departure of Antonio Brown, logging 552 receiving yards and three touchdowns in 12 starts.

In 14 starts last season, the USC product collected 831 receiving yards and a career-high nine touchdowns.
