The Jets will have at least one Williams in the fold for the foreseeable future.

As the NFL’s legal tampering free agency period opens Monday, SNY’s Connor Hughes reports that the Jets and linebacker Quincy Williams have agreed to a three-year, $18 million deal with $9 million due at signing and another $3 million available in incentives.

Williams, 26, has been a force in his two years with Gang Green, totaling 216 total tackles – including 147 solo and 21 for loss – with five sacks, 10 quarterback hits, three forced fumbles, and six pass breakups in 31 games.

The Jets’ Williams attention can now turn to Quincy’s younger brother, Quinnen, who will make $9.6 million this season on the fifth-year option of his rookie contract. Quinnen has said he’d like to get a long-term deal done before the season begins, and there is now a potential bar set after the Commanders re-signed DT Daron Payne this weekend for $90 million ($60mm guaranteed) over four years.
