C-Mac: Robert Saleh will be back, hasn't been given a chance to coach 'competent quarterback'

Many have begun to call for Robert Saleh’s job amid the Jets’ struggles, which got worse in Friday’s blowout loss to the rival Dolphins.

But C-Mac isn’t ready to declare Saleh as a bad head coach, simply because he hasn’t gotten the chance to coach a capable quarterback since taking the job.

“I don’t know if he’s a good head coach,” C-Mac said. “I’m not telling you I know if he’s a good head coach. I have no freaking idea. He has not been given a competent quarterback for a millisecond of his entire Jets career. Any time he was for a millisecond, when Mike White was able to play, they put up points and won football games.

“I have no idea about this coach…he’s forced to play these guys. We all know it.”

While a corner of the fanbase wants Saleh gone, C-Mac doesn’t see that happening, and says the head coach will finally get his chance to coach with a capable quarterback next season, assuming Aaron Rodgers can stay healthy.

“I feel bad for him,” C-Mac said. “I don’t know what kind of coach he is. But we’ll find out, because I don’t think he’s going anywhere.”
