As Aaron Rodgers reportedly aims to return to practice this week or next, Sal says the future Hall of Famer has gone from Jets savior to ruining the franchise within a matter of months.
“Do we understand that Aaron Rodgers is ruining the New York Jets?” Sal said. “I love Aaron Rodgers…unfortunately, this whole thing was built around Aaron Rodgers, and unfortunately, it fell apart four plays in. Now Rodgers is expected to come back and be the savior next year?”
The Jets have fallen apart without Rodgers, yet Sal says there will be no changes made within the organization due to a waiting period for Rodgers to get healthy and try it all again next year, potentially continuing to set the franchise back.
“All the people brought in are here because of Aaron Rodgers,” Sal said. “The Jets can’t make significant changes with the coaching staff because of Aaron Rodgers. Their franchise, the way that it played out, is worse off because of Aaron Rodgers.”
