BT and Sal were in the middle of some Giants talk, when a Jets fan called in to talk some trash for when the two teams will face each other on Oct. 29.
Sal had to cut in and give Gang Green’s faithful a reality check.
“We’re talking about the Giants. Why do Jet fans feel the need to interject their crappy team into this?” Sal said. “Don’t make me give you the heavy dose of reality that you need.
“At the very least, can you show some sort of humility and realism, that the Jets have accomplished exactly zero?”
The Jets have one more win than the Giants so far this year, coming off a win against a lowly Broncos team where a costly interception by Zach Wilson nearly made the outcome very different. Sal doesn’t understand where all of this confidence from Jets fans is coming from.
“It doesn’t match the reality of the situation! Where is the bravado coming from?” Sal said. “You’re walking around with your chest out, ‘Oh, Zach Wilson is the man, we got playmakers all over the place.’ You beat the Denver Broncos! You had on really good win this year, and that was in Week 1…since then, things have gotten worse, except for the almost win against Kansas City. Last I checked, almost wins don’t count…and then they beat up on Denver, in a game where they didn’t look very good in doing so!”
