The Jets did not want to be selected for HBO’s Hard Knocks, but they will be the team featured on the show this year, and Sal says fans should be celebrating.
“This is what it is all about!” Sal said. “I don’t want to hear about what negative impact Hard Knocks can have on the jets this season. Who cares at this moment? This is about entertaining and enjoying what should be a very special season for the New York Jets.
“I don’t know how you couldn’t be beyond excited about this.
There is no negative to come from it. What are you worried about, cameras exposing Robert Saleh not being in command? Who cares? This is Aaron Rodgers’ team, we all know that.”
Fans may not want extra attention on a Jets team that has its highest expectations in recent memory, but Sal said there’s no better way to embrace the hype by getting a closer look at the team, and their shiny new quarterback.
“This is exciting, Jets fans, because your team is officially back on the map,” Sal said. “The Jets have been irrelevant for far too long…today is a Jets day. The Giants had their moment last year, they had their nice run with Brian Daboll’s first year…but for now, this is about the New York Jets, and the possibilities that come because of Aaron Rodgers.
“Aaron Rodgers is going to lead the Jets to prominence. He’s already led them back to relevancy. Hard Knocks is just the beginning.”
