Both BT and Sal agree that riding with Zach Wilson may be one of the Jets’ best options at quarterback, but Sal says Gang Green has to at least make a call to Tom Brady.
“If you’re not trying for that, you’re not doing your job,” Sal said. “I don’t think it’s realistic, but you have to try. He’s out there.
“You talk about a story, that would trump Aaron Rodgers. Brady to the Jets of all teams?”
Brady is retired, and an NFL return seems highly unlikely, but Sal says the GOAT would not have a better chance to win one more title than coming to New York, and the Jets have to at least try.
“If he wants to win another Super Bowl, they’ve got another shot,” Sal said. “That defense, and all the weapons are there.
“They have to ask. The Jets have to ask.”
