Aaron Rodgers told reporters on Monday that the Jets are close to being a Super Bowl contender, and have the core in place for a winning team, now just need to add a couple pieces this offseason.
Sal, simply put, disagreed with that sentiment, which was echoed by Robert Saleh a day earlier.
“He is now joining the delusion that some Jets fans have,” Sal said. “They’re not even close! Holy crap.”
BT agreed with Rodgers, which led Sal to declare that his co-host was delusional as well. But the most interesting takeaway from Rodgers’ talk with reporters on Monday was his declaration that the “bulls--t” that has nothing to do with winning needs to leave the Jets building.
Given Rodgers’ consistent inclusion in off-the-field drama this season thanks to his weekly spot on the Pat McAfee Show, Sal found those comments to be amusing, to say the least.
“Was he looking into a mirror when he said it?” Sal said.
