Robert Saleh drew heavy criticism on Monday for once again doubling down on his belief in Zach Wilson as the Jets starting quarterback, and Sal was certainly no exception.
“The head coach goes out there yesterday and embarrasses himself,” Sal said. “What is he doing? Is Saleh that clueless that he is going to further hitch his wagon to Zach Wilson? What is he thinking?
“He’s gonna be fired! Does he not get that?”
Sal isn’t looking for Saleh to rip Wilson publicly, but at the very least, acknowledge that he has to be better.
“Hold him accountable! Zach Wilson has been atrocious,” Sal said. “Are you lacking awareness? How can you possibly think he gives you the best chance to win?
“He sounds like he doesn’t know his ass from his elbow! He sounds lost! Sound like you are in control and have an idea of what you’re doing. The only thing worse than the product on the field is the talking off of it. They’re lost!
“You look foolish…he comes across as clueless when he talks like he did yesterday.”
