As the Jets report to training camp on Tuesday, Sal wants to get fired up for what is to come this season, but the head coach is keeping him from feeling any genuine excitement about the upcoming season.
Many are pinning the Jets as a Super Bowl contender, but Sal can’t get on board with those expectations because
“While I want to believe it and be excited about this team…I cannot go there because of Robert Saleh,” Sal said.
“Robert Saleh, as I’ve said many times before, is the worst head coach in the league…nobody has been worse at their job as a head coach in the NFL than Robert Saleh. Him being there, I just can’t get past it.”
Saleh is certainly on the hot seat entering this season, as he has yet to have a successful campaign as head coach and will have his most talented roster yet. Sal doesn’t see it going well for Saleh, and believes it will be the team’s undoing.
“I think Saleh is going to be the problem that prevents the Jets from getting to their ultimate goal,” Sal said. “Whether it be to the AFC championship or a Super Bowl.”
