Steve Somers joined Keith on Tuesday night’s show, and had a creative idea to solve the Jets’ dreadful quarterback problems.
“Forget about Boyle forget about Siemian, forget about Wilson,” Steve said. “All three are abject failures. I would have Garrett Wilson or Breece Hall take every snap. Either a direct snap or have those guys be a quarterback. You gotta get the ball in their hands, and the three aforementioned quarterbacks couldn’t do that.
“How many open receivers did Boyle miss on Sunday?”
Steve was always creative with his monologues and jokes, and he was back in full force with the Wildcat idea for Gang Green for the rest of the season.
“Direct snap to them. Get the ball in their hands and let them find some room,” Steve said. “Let them see if they can go around the edge and create some space on their own, because those two guys are the talented offensive players that you have. Either a direct snap or under center, I don’t care, because it can’t get any worse than it’s been.”
