Many around the NFL world have pointed to turf fields when discussing Aaron Rodgers’ season-ending Achilles injury, but one TV host had the wildest theory of all.
Newsmax host Greg Kelly went on air and, with a straight face, said “drugs” led to Rodgers losing his “eye of the tiger,” which is why he “totally saw this coming” in regards to Rodgers getting hurt.
“He got involved in psychedelics,” Kelly said, via Awful Announcing, referencing Rodgers speaking highly of Ayahuasca tea and its ability to help him discover “self-love” and mind expansion.
Kelly seems to believe it only took away his edge on the football field, leaving him in a position to get hurt, which Kelly says could have been avoided had he replaced Ayahuasca with “church.”
“How about going to church?” Kelly said. “Ayahuasca tea is a crummy substitute for God.”
Not surprisingly, Kelly’s theory was crushed on social media by several football fans.
