Joe & Evan: What should Jets be willing to part with for Aaron Rodgers?

Joe Benigno is still worried about the Jets not landing Aaron Rodgers, and won’t exhale until a trade is official.

But what would that seemingly inevitable trade look like? Joe and Evan laid out an acceptable return to Green Bay that the Jets could offer for the future Hall of Famer.

Both agreed that they would not surrender Gang Green’s first-round pick from this year’s draft, but Evan would part with a pick that could become a first rounder in the future.

“Third-round pick this year, conditional pick next year that could be a one if the Jets make the Super Bowl,” Evan said.

Joe believes it will take more than that, perhaps a current player as well.
In which case, there is only one he would part with.

“The only guy I would consider giving up is Elijah Moore,” Joe said.

Evan would rather not part with more, but if the wideout was the only obstacle standing between the Jets and Rodgers, he would pull the trigger on a deal if he was Joe Douglas.

“He feels replaceable right now because of the Lazard signing,” Evan said. “I’d prefer not to give up Elijah Moore, but I wouldn’t let that be the holdup.”
