Jets safety Will Parks joined Boomer and Gio on Thursday morning after making his recruiting pitch to Aaron Rodgers on Twitter, along with a few of his teammates, earlier this week.
Now, amid reports that Gang Green is optimistic that they are on the cusp of landing Rodgers, Parks is all aboard the hype train.
“That sounds pretty awesome to me,” Parks told Boomer and Gio, though he doubts Rodgers saw his recruiting pitch.
“Man, I don’t even know if he’s seen my tweet. He’s a superstar, so he probably didn’t get it. But if he did, thank you so much.”
Parks, along with Justin Hardee, Sauce Gardner, and even former Jets like Nick Mangold, have used social media to try and get Rodgers’ attention.
Parks kept it simple, saying, “Ayo Aaron, bring that ass over here.”
“It’s Twitter. I’m not too serious on that app,” Parks said. “When you throw some humor in it, you get the fans online, especially Jets Twitter. They go crazy each and every day of the week. I just kind of wanted to throw some humor on it.
“Justin Hardee said in the group chat, ‘Let’s start doing some tweets’ and stuff like that, and that’s kind of how that happened. We’ve seen the news and seen all this talk…obviously the organization wants to make the move at that positon, so why wouldn’t we want to help out and do what we gotta do to get one of those guys over here?”
