Jets quarterback Zach Wilson, who was named the NFL Rookie of the Week for Week 16, has taken home the award for the third time this season.
The No. 2 overall pick rushed for 91 yards in Sunday’s win over the Jaguars, more than half of that production coming on a 52-yard rushing touchdown, the longest by a quarterback in franchise history. Wilson added 102 yards and a touchdown through the air, completing 14 of his 22 passes for a league-leading 92.4 QBR.
Wilson also won the award in Week 13 and Week 4, and with Wednesday’s honor, ensured that the award stayed in East Rutherford, as teammate Brandin Echols won it last week.
Wilson will look to make it four Rookie of the Week wins when Gang Green takes on Tom Brady and the Buccaneers on Sunday.
