The Jets have their general manager, head coach and offensive coordinator in attendance at BYU’s Pro Day, and they have to like what they saw from Zach Wilson.
A likely target for New York with the second overall pick in the upcoming NFL Draft, Wilson was limited to throwing due to a tweaked hamstring, but that showed no signs of slowing him down when he showed off his arm, effortlessly throwing an accurate 60-yard pass while rolling to his left.
60 yards is too EASY for @zachkapono1 😳 pic.twitter.com/yYn0h2DGo2

Wilson is known for his strong arm, and Friday’s Pro Day certainly reinforced that. The Jets’ heavy attendance shows how much the team is looking into Wilson as their potential quarterback of the future, despite not officially moving on from Sam Darnold just yet.
The 60-yard strike wasn't the only impressive throw from Wilson on Friday.
The throws certainly impressed NFL Network analyst Daniel Jeremiah, who was watching Wilson’s throwing display.
“That’s not normal, to be able to do that as easily as he just made that look,” Jeremiah said.
The picture will become clearer in the coming weeks on if the Jets agreed with Jeremiah’s assessment.
