Sometimes, you just need the advice of a good friend to talk you out of doing something you shouldn't.
During Tuesday's Tiki & Tierney Show, it appeared that maybe, BT and producer Pete Hoffman were ready to jump ship on their beloved Jets?
Well, later, during Guy Thing/Not a Guy Thing, one of Hoffman's queries was whether it's a guy thing to hold your friends accountable, and they played a clip of BT asking Tiki to wear his Giants jersey on the air…and then said he would wear it for Tiki?
That was a misspeak according to BT, but after Hoff and Dov Kramer badgered him, it looked like BT would rock Tiki's threads – along with a threat that he hopes Hoff never makes a mistake, or else.
Well, that was too much for one Joe Benigno, who called in to lay down the law on BT about wearing enemy colors.
"I have great respect for the Giants, but you can't wear it," Joe curtly said, before making a stunning revelation:
"Before 1965 when I became a Jets fan in Namath's rookie year, I liked the Giants, they were the team, and I loved Y.A. Tittle," Joe revealed.
"So I was thinking if I had to wear a Giants jersey, it would be Y.A. Tittle – but really, I wouldn't wear it."
"Wear Tiki's UVA jersey," Joe said. "Were you 21 at UVA? That's the one you can wear in support of your partner's team this week."
A Tiki Pro Bowl jersey is also acceptable, according to Joe, so we'll see what BT does!
