Joe Benigno compares preseason football to non-alcoholic beer: 'What's the point?'
The Giants play preseason football in just two days, while the Jets have their first tune-up on Saturday afternoon against the Commanders, as the NFL season is fast approaching.
But don't count Joe Benigno among those who are excited about getting to watch football this weekend.
"Preseason football is like non-alcoholic beer," Joe said. "What is the point?"
Joe is having a hard enough time getting excited for the regular season, as he says he has been burned by the Jets too many times in his decades of fandom, so any preseason hype for him is nonexistent. But Jerry could see himself taking in a preseason game with the prices he has seen on secondary markets.
"I saw someone trying to sell a package, four tickets, 40-yard line, mezzanine, and a parking pass for $45," Jerry said. "I would go to that if I could. What the hell? You go, you tailgate, you stay for a half, and you go home."
