Keith: Why won't Chiefs pull off three-peat this season?

The NFL kicked off the regular season with a thriller on Thursday night, as the Ravens came one inch short of a touchdown that could have set up a two-point conversion that could have stunned the Chiefs in Kansas City.

As fans celebrated the return of football, Keith rejoiced in having a nice distraction from the struggling Yankees, as the Bombers were off on Thursday and all eyes were on Chiefs/Ravens.

“Wasn’t that nice? Wasn’t that refreshing? Wasn’t that cool?” Keith said. “It’s starting to feel like the most wonderful time again.”

The Yankees were briefly featured on the TV broadcast, as Kansas City will be going for a three-peat this year, with the Yanks being one of the only teams of the four major sports in recent memory to win three straight titles. It is an incredibly rare feat, but Keith believes this Chiefs team could be the one to pull it off.

“When I look at the Chiefs and Patrick Mahomes, why are they not gonna three-peat? Who’s gonna stop them?” Keith said. “They have the best quarterback in the game.”

Not only do the Chiefs have Mahomes, but Keith says the presence of Andy Reid as head coach and Steve Spagnuolo as offensive coordinator makes them a dominant force heading towards a third straight Super Bowl title.

“These guys are masters. You are literally watching these guys draw up plays and scheme defenses at a top level,” Keith said. “The Ravens were one of the best teams in the league last year, and they had nothing for the Chiefs...We’ll show you a little Noah Gray. We’ll show you a little Justin Watson.”
