The Brooklyn Nets and New York Knicks have announced their 2020-21 preseason schedules, with each team playing two opponents ahead of the scheduled Dec. 22 season start.
Brooklyn will play their two games against Washington and Boston, hosting the Wizards at 6 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 13, and traveling to Beantown to face the Celtics at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 18. Both games will be televised on YES.
As for the Knicks, they will play four games, facing both the Pistons and Cavaliers twice. They will play two games in Detroit on Friday, Dec. 11 and Sunday, Dec. 13 – both tipping off at 7:30 p.m. – and then will host Cleveland at MSG for a pair of 7:30 p.m. starts on Wednesday, Dec. 16 and Friday, Dec. 18.
Per the Nets, there will be no fans at the preseason game at Barclays Center, as the arena is "currently following New York State guidelines to determine when fans can return to games." Madison Square Garden also will be following similar protocols, meaning an empty Garden for the Knicks' two tilts.
