Knicks, Nets full 2024-25 schedules revealed

The NBA has revealed its full schedule for the 2024-25 season, as the Knicks will be looking to make a deep playoff run as one of the title hopefuls heading into the season, and the rebuilding Nets will be looking to take a step forward after trading away another key piece in Mikal Bridges.

For the Knicks, the season begins on Oct 22 against the Celtics, a team expected to be one of New York’s top competitors in the Eastern Conference. The game will be in Boston, where the C’s will be celebrating their NBA title and receiving championship rings with the Knicks looking on.

New York’s home opener will be on Oct. 25 against the Pacers, a rematch of game seven of the Eastern Conference Semis last season, when Indiana eliminated the painfully shorthanded Knicks on that same MSG floor. A rematch of the physical first-round series with the 76ers comes on Nov. 12 in Philadelphia, part of group play for the NBA’s In-Season Tournament.

As was previously reported, the Knicks will once again be playing at The World’s Most Famous Arena on Christmas Day, this time playing host to budding superstar Victor Wembanyama and the Spurs.

The Knicks and Nets will face off for the first time on Nov. 15, and again on Nov. 17, at MSG. the rivalry shifts to the Barclays Center on Jan. 21 and April 13 (the final game of the regular season).

As for Brooklyn, Kyrie Irving returns on March 24 when the Mavericks come to town, and the two teams will face off again in Dallas on March 31. James Harden and the Clippers arrive on March 28, while Kevin Durant and the Suns invade Brooklyn on Jan. 22.

The Nets’ first game of the season comes on Oct. 23 in Atlanta against the Hawks, and their home opener will be against the Bucks on Oct. 27.
