Alec Burks shot a miserable 5-for-14 and 1-for-7 from downtown in Tuesday’s loss to the Hawks, as the 32-year-old continues to struggle at the start of his second tenure with the Knicks.

In 10 games since coming over in the trade with the Pistons that also brought in Bojan Bogdanovich, Burks is shooting just 32.3 percent from the field and just 29.8 percent from deep while averaging 4.7 attempts from beyond the arc. Clearly, Burks has not found his stroke since returning to New York.

In fact, according to StatMuse, Burks is the first player in NBA history to shoot under 33 percent from the field, under 30 percent from downtown, and under 65 percent from the free throw line while averaging more than 75 field goal attempts in the first 10 games with a new team.

The Knicks need Burks to find his way quickly, as he was tasked with playing a key role while the likes of Julius Randle and OG Anunoby make their way back from injury. So far, Burks hasn’t come close to living up to that expectation.
